Using Logically Consistent Information In Websites And Blogs

Keeping your content consistent goes a long way in ensuring your blog is easy to read and worth a return visit. Website and blog consistency involves the nature of the information displayed and its accessibility for the audience.

For a website or blog to be consistent it should follow a few rules.

Does the information follow a logical pattern? A website should generally have a single purpose. Consider what it is you are trying to achieve with your site and stick to it. A website that veers off illogically in different directions is confusing to read and doesn’t retain its audience.

Does the tone of the information remain consistent? This involves the language and tastes within the website or blog. A blog for example, with content that has random spikes regarding the language used will be hard to follow. Examples of this include the apparent random use of crass words or inappropriate use of internet memes.
