Web hosting provider Advanced Internet Technologies announced on Monday it has secured its US East Coast data centers in preparation for the combined impact of Hurricane Sandy colliding with an early winter storm.

The Fayetteville, North Carolina-based hosting company has a robust track record for withstanding hurricanes.

Since its inception in 1996, the internet host has seen an ordinary of one to two hurricanes go through the realm and has yet to experience any downtime because of those storms, in accordance with the clicking release.

Fayetteville is found just over an hour from the coast where the hurricane is predicted to hit Monday evening. The company’s data centers are secured with disaster recovery and hurricane preparedness.

AIT will even offer a free month of hosting to any company that experiences downtime or data loss with the other web host brought on by Hurricane Sandy.

Nirvanix launched a “Disaster Avoidance Program” Monday to head customer data clear of its Node 4 data center in New Jersey.

“We knew that we’d be hit by a hurricane or other nature disaster at some point soon, and thru our strategic planning, led by prior members of the united states Army, and Marines; we knew AIT would only be triumphant if shall we withstand an enormous, Category 4 or 5 Hurricane and still have the ability to provide service to our customers.” said AIT’s CEO Clarence Briggs. “AIT started with its first generator backup device in 1997, which include uninterruptable power supply units to give power between the time that commercial power is terminated, and the backup generator can start automatically. This was put to check in 1999 with Hurricane Floyd. This Category 4 monster ripped through North Carolina, disposing of power stations, and causing massive flooding inside the Piedmont area. However, due to planning and preparation of AIT’s facilities and technical staff, there has been no downtime for any AIT customer.”
