The company, ICONZ-Webvisions, will center around delivering cloud hosting services to the mid-tier enterprise market in Asia, and Australasia

Singapore web host Webvisions announced on Wednesday that it has changed its corporate branding and identity to mirror its merger with New Zealand cloud host ICONZ. The corporate, ICONZ-Webvisions, will discuss delivering cloud hosting services to the mid-tier enterprise market in Asia, and Australasia.

The new company is majority-owned by New Zealand company Caledonian International Limited, which first invested in Webvisions in 2006, in step with the click release.

ICONZ-Webvisions currently employs about 200 staff and has a hosting presence in additional than 15 cities across seven countries – Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, mainland China, Malaysia and India.

This merger and reinvigorated branding come as a brand new study by VMware finds 54 percent of senior IT professionals in India consider cloud a top business priority.

“The re-brand represents our company’s evolution and is a logical step in transforming our business further. By pulling together our cloud capabilities, we are able to deliver consistent service and a continuing experience to our customers, wherever they’re within the region,” Poh Mui Hoon, group chief executive officer of ICONZ-Webvisions said in a press release.

“We now have always been serving the mid-tier enterprise and at the moment are in a much better position to take care of their specific needs with Cloud technologies and to offer the standard, performance and versatility of service, all of that are important to our mid-tier enterprise customers. Mid-tier enterprises face the challenge of getting to compete with bigger players, without having the ability to hire the appropriate IT talent,” she added.

The company serves greater than 600 customers in cloud hosting and managed services around the seven countries through which it has a presence. While Poh says China and Southeast Asia will account for the long-term growth of the corporate, currently 65 to 70 percent of overall sales come from New Zealand and Singapore, in keeping with report by ZDNet.

ICONZ-Webvisions says that its new tagline, “Smarter, Sharper and Safer” furthers its vision of empowering its enterprise customers.

The iW cloud infrastructure offers SaaS and compute-as-a-service.

With its new brand identity, ICONZ-Webvisions will partner with vendors like HP in its cloud infrastructure, VMware in virtualization and Microsoft to integrate SaaS inside the cloud.

Without giving much detail, ICONZ-Webvisions says it’s going to extend its cloud footprint in Greater China and ASEAN over the subsequent one year. This comes as Asia is advancing in public cloud, with 25 percent of stakeholders in a contemporary Uptime Institute study claiming to have adopted public cloud in 2012.
